The heart, mind and soul behind Quantum-Shift is certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner Gerald Sullivan. Gerald has been running a successful private practice on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast since 1994 and holding
4 to 8 Awareness Through Movement classes a week for many years.
He is very passionate about assisting people regain a more complete self expression, both physically and emotionally.
Quantum-Shift’s approach teaches Feldenkrais® movement combined with the spiritual principles taught in 'A Course in Miracles'. These spiritual principles are not aligned with any religion and are grounded in honouring every person’s individual integrity and personal path to self-development.
Both The Feldenkrais Method® and 'A Course in Miracles' have been key in assisting me to let go of the past and be true to myself. I was experiencing chronic back pain, shoulder problems and was recovering from knee surgery. I then discovered that these physical problems originated from mistaken ideas about who I was - ideas to do with inferiority, self-doubt, guilt and shame.
“Feldenkrais & 'A Course in Miracles' together worked to let go
of this mistaken perception and its manifestations
(ie. sore back, frozen shoulder, fear, doubt).
The combination of the two created an extraordinary change –
a quantum shift in the awareness of who and what I am and the world around me.”
How does it work?
Through Feldenkrais’® safe and gentle movements, we explore how we use our bodies and how we express ourselves. We find places that we no longer use, other parts we over-use to compensate and how that complicates and limits how we use our body.
Feldenkrais will assist in awakening these forgotten areas in the body and integrate them back into your whole body function. Living as our original, true selves, we not only have a new perception of ourselves but also have a new perception of the world.
What a big change, what a quantum shift! ____________________________________
